This painting is part of my "Dogs With Toys" series of artwork and features Shamus, a 3 year old Newfoundland with a favorite toy. His pet parent Kim says, "Shamus, since being rescued in March of 2009, doesn’t believe he’s a dog. He prefers to be around people, by far, overcoming his fear of cars just so he can travel any place we go. He is the gentlest of souls and gives the best of hugs."
I am an artist living in Tennessee, and I love to spend my days in nature enjoying life's most serene and peaceful moments, whether it be landscapes, watching birds and wildlife, or experiencing the beauty of a simple flower. Moving beyond traditional photography, I transform my original photographs into art by pairing them with hand painted textures and backgrounds, appealing to a variety of tastes and decorative needs.
