I've been watching our local nesting bluebirds for the past four years, and this is the first time I've been able to capture this scene. When the little fella pushed outside of the box this far, I was worried he was going to fall. Little did I know, his brothers and sisters had already left the nest, and he was about to fly. It shocked me when he came out of that box a moment later, and zipped right over top of my camera lens, heading into the pine trees. I sat there in disbelief for a few minutes, because just the day before, it seemed as if they were just babies, and nowhere near ready to fly! Here I've added one of my hand painted textures to my original photo, to take this little birds very special moment and turn it into a work of art for your home.
