I've waited months to do this work of art from the final photo of Hiram and Julia {Shiloh, TN} together, before they both disappeared. This photo was taken after Julia {right} returned in April. Hiram {on the left} had been fighting with Jesse all day on this day {April 10th}. He was totally exhausted. Both he and Jesse had bloodied feet by the end of the day. And these fights had been going on for over a month at this point. Jesse was determined to take over their nest site, and I believe after this day, Hiram had enough.

I saw Julia once after this, and saw Hiram once as well, but never saw them together again after April. And after those final single sightings, I haven't seen either eagle. My guess is Hiram decided it was time to build a new nest, in a different location, rather than continue fighting over this location. I see it being similar to a nice neighborhood gone bad after the arrival of gangs...you want your peace back, and you can't get rid of them, so you move out....
